Psychiatric services are a major strength of the institute, whose partners offer a broad and deep bench of experts who treat mental disorders such as anxiety and depression. The institute includes Bradley Hospital, the nation’s first and Rhode Island's only, psychiatric hospital devoted exclusively to pediatric mental health, as well as Butler Hospital, Rhode Island’s only psychiatric and substance abuse hospital for children and adults. The Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown is one of the top-rated programs of its kind in the nation.
